Add fade-ins fade-outs to excerpt mp3s

Hello!
Does anyone know a freeware utility for putting fades on small mp3 files?
I have a lot of excerpts for sampling a CD before purchase and I don't want to recreate them, I would like to add a fade to the ends of every mp3 in a folder.

Audacity? fubar 2000? not sure about fubar but audacity can do this.
