Hi! I am looking for proper library of orchestral hits and stabs. I am mainly producing hip hop beats, but I am interested in other genres too.
Only thing I found was this site: https://www.zenhiser.com/products/Stabs ... ipack.html
And that product is not exacly what I am looking for.
If you know some good libraries to buy I would be very grateful!
PS: I know similiar topic was here couple of years ago, but it didn't help.

I don't think this is any longer available. I searched the links but only get a 404 error. I wouldn't mind trying the monster demo. Cinematic Strings 2 sounds great.tehlord wrote:Google monster stacatto.
It's free.

Some classic old school hip hop samples in here, if you have Kontakt, the wav files are in there too though. This is free...

Also this maybe for free or $15. maybe better to buy it though - if you do still want it after reading the thread!
http://www.tikov.com/softrave/orchhit.htm discussion thread below...

Most old school hip hop stabs and samples were lifted from 70's/80's vinyl, and I realise that you may want modern stuff and not old school...

There was a really good collection on future music issue 250, march 2012. It covers pretty much all the bases though so if your just looking for orchestra ones it might not be that good, has around 25 of those, but it has big drums, clangs, orchestra, retro sounds, reverses, synths, etc

you'd have to get the magazine, however you could see if there is somewhere online like zinio where you could pick up a digital back-copy of it really cheap. I know that is one issue you can plug into the computer/future music 'vault' and download everything. So if you had an old digital back copy you could register it on there and download them.
You can try perusing through all the ones at www.sampleradar.com you might get lucky. All the ones on sampleradar are pulled from the computer music and future music mags, so maybe there might be some packs out there.
Also before you go and order you can try this site:
http://www.flstudiomusic.com/search/label/samples
They have an insane amount of samples up there, on the right there are drop down lists for what you want and one of them is a samples area, so you can click on that and see all the names of the packs they got, and those are all free. I think they were all put together by flstudio users
-Edit
Here's the zinio link for the 5$ digital copy
http://www.zinio.com/browse/issues/inde ... ategoryId=
In case you want more info if you were gonna get it, its ~560 samples
13 big drum
66 clank/clang
70 misc
some multis
25 orchestral
58 retro
83 reverse
21 synth-chord
51 synth-fx
37 synth stab
51 bang/thump
so it gives you an idea of the breakdown of types in there

If you have Stylus RMX, they have a small collection of authentic sounding old school hits in one of the folders. Not a ton of them, but they're really well done.
Like breakmixer said, hits like these originally came from vinyl records and aren't legal, so they have to be recreated, which is an expensive proposition. That's why there are fewer options than you would expect.

If you can get a cheap copy of ewqlso you can make some absurd orchestra hits. You’ll have to do a bit of the work yourself, but it’s a good experience building thing to do. You can save lots of computer juice by resampling (play is crap) and then further manipulate things. What type of music are you gonna be making (what type of hip hop)? Different things work better for different applications.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.
