Can someone please help me how to program this in midi?

Can someone please tell me how to properly program or play this in midi? Im talking about the strings and the brass. Are these octaving or chording? I know automation can help the swell but Im talking about how to create it.

Also is this a minor scale?

The trumpet & string riffs are in octaves, and a minor scale indeed. Try playing in A using all white keys, in D or E there's one black key. That's no hard rule though

Hey bert thanks for the reply. Its not minor pentatonic or modal scale right?

It sounded as a regular minor scale.

Actually I don't really care about the proper name of the scale, I just try what notes work and which don't. If you hit an inharmonic note, then avoid it but use the one adjacent instead. Sure you can figure out what the exact intervals are of the used scale, and then stick a proper name on it. But being able to just hit the right notes imho serves you better in practice (but not when discussing it with other musicians)
