Consistently amazed by iOS synths on my ipad. I have been using them as sound modules to play alongside my regular home studio setup and I think some of them rival quite a few PC/Mac competitors. I also just bought a hardware Venom VA and Arturia Minibrute analog and I still love me my iOS synths.

I don't think of these as toys at all, but serious sound creation tools.

Favorites are:
Sunrizer
Alchemy Mobile
Arctic Keys
NLog Pro
Magellan
Launchkey
Animoog
iPolysix
iMS20

What are your favorites? Looking to get an Arturia Minilab controller for them soon. 16 rotary encoders, 8 padsx2 banks, 25 mini keys, portable setup. I need to twist knobs on these and feel some keys, mini or not.

Channels 11 and 12 on my mixer reserved for ipad.

I've been exploring Magellan the last few days. I think I'm in love. I wish I could build a controller to match it perfectly.

All of the above. Plus: I like the sound from Addictive synth, but it doesn't have audiobus yet. Audulus is interesting.

My Top Favorites - I use these the most often.
Alchemy Mobile Pro - Seems to be my most used. I keep discovering new sounds in it and I am constantly tweaking and saving my own sounds.

iGrand Piano - Not really a synth, but for pianos, this is my favorite.

DM1 - They had a big update awhile ago that really put this drum app on top for me. I use it quite often.

ReBirth for iPad - I use this for the nice drum Mods included in the app.

Magellan - I had this for months, but only kind of "rediscovered" this one a few weeks ago after it won a "favorite app" poll on another site and I decided to give it a second look. Glad I did.

Other favorites:

GarageBand (for organs)
Animoog
iMS-20
iPolysix

Garageband is at the top of my list for old-school electromechanical keys. It's worth the 5$ just for the drawbar and electric piano emulations. Some of the lead VA synths are pretty great as well.

Impaktor used often, but needs some updates like export of the whole sequence/pattern instead of just 4 bars.

Alchemy mobile

Other than that, I have no need at present on my iPhone. I use Amplitube Free/Fender Free a little bit as well.

If I get an iPad, then all of Jordan Rudess' stuff will be on my purchase list.

Not really a synth, but I love using Propellerhead's Figure to generate some musical ideas. iMaschine is good in this regard as well.

Well not quite a perfect controller to match Magellan like I wanted, but I did just pick up off eBay an MS20 iC controller. Works to control legacy collection MS20 and happens to work to control iMS20.

Now I have some good options because yesterday I plugged my Venom synth USB into the Camera Connection Kit and not only got instant control for keys, but Venom is made by M-Audio and they included a perfectly class compliant audio interface on Venom. I have USB audio and Midi in and out for ipad now.

I still might pick up that Arturia Minilab controller, but I can map up the MS20 iC on other iOS synths too. Good iOS synth times.

:hihi:
