Hello!
I have been struggling to obtain low latency with my Behringer USB interface.
The Behringer ASIO drivers provide low latency but still some pops and clicks at around 8ms.
I have streamlined my system to the max, using Latency Monitor, disabling devices in manager, services, switching to background services etc....
The WASAPI driver seems to be performing better where I can run my CPU higher with NI Razor or Prism without glitches.
What is the deal with WASAPI...is it normal to obtain better performance?
Secondly, is it supported across applications that work in Vista/7..or only some such as Reaper?
Finally, what is the difference between KX drivers, WaveRT etc...in a nutshell?
Thanks!!!

WASAPI is about the same or worse as ASIO performance wise but not as widely supported.

This thread may help :

The bottom line is that some people have lower latency with WASAPI, others its no different to ASIO. It may be due to the interface used as you suggested.

I have a Behringer card, haven't tried it with Wasapi, I use Asio4all as the native driver really jacks up the cpu.
I do use Wasapi daily when using midi, don't really want to plug audio sources into the 1/8" jack. It's awesome though, very surprised every DAW company hasn't rushed to support it.
