Hi, I'm wondering how can I make this kind of a riser? Is it a sine wave or a saw? Or somethingelse? Is it some fx on it like a phaser? Can't really tell i'm not good at this.

If anyone can help would be nice :)

it starts at 0:00 to 0:16

thanks!

If ur on Fl Studio take the 3XOSC and select the noise wave on the 3 oscillators.Create a 8 or 16 bar long continuous note and you'll hear noise. Then create an automation for volume and/or pitch increasing from 0-100 for example.Place it where you want and ur done ! 8)

Ok, but is it really noise waves? It doesn't sound so much like a noise at all.
I don't mean the sweep windy thingy, hard to explain but the other sound that rises not the wind noise :P

I think you're right. It's a pitched sound, noise doesn't have any pitch. My first idea would be a maybe a flute-like sound with lots of reverb and pitch it up.

Works for me ! Or u could take a crash cymbal with good sustain and reverse it and add some effects on it ! Both this and the 3XOSC method work for me

Definitely sounds like a flute. I wouldn't actually call this a riser technically, it sounds like a pitchbent melodic element to me, because it passes through notes which harmonize well with the rest of the music.

This isn't usually my kind of thing but there's some interesting sound design going on in the beat with that creaky sound.

I think it's a filtered and chorused square wave.

it is white noise through a flanger and the tube hollow sound comes from the comb filtering effect.

get white noise from a synth run it through a flanger and adjust the flanger till you get that hollow low tubey sound. then bounce out a few seconds of it and reload the bounced audio in to a sampler and loop it smoothly so it keeps playing when you hold the key down. now just use the pitch bend wheel to create the riser. also what many are doing is using a few instances to create a Sheppard tone (barbers pole) effect so it seems as if it rises forever.

Sheppard tone was the term i was looking for.

Ok thanks, but will that really sound like a flute sound in the video? Gonna try soon :P

Wondering the same :P

a very windy flute yes. i did a quick bounce of my attempt using logics flanger but i also tried xfer lfo tool on some of the comb filter settings which also worked well but as i said it the comb filter effect that creates that strange hollow uncomfortable tone so any flanger will do just make sure the lfo is 0 on your flanger to keep the tone static.
