Had a look and seems to be interesting indeed. Somehow i almost ignored those so far.

The only Novation synth i got is the Bass Station plugin which is quite nice.

The old Novation synths were great. I have a KS5: knobs for all parameters, multimode, multi-arpeggiator....
The new synths from Novations with their "one sound at a time must be enough for you" philosophy are crap against it!

I still use my Nova a bit. Nice synth. Wouldn't recommend it to someone searching an analog(or va) synth. It's sound character can drift too easily on the digital side. If you take it as it is and not expect it to be a Moog, it's great :)

Sound is way different than in Novations more recent V-Station/K/A/KS synths. Harsher on the highs, better on the lows. Better effects too. I'm using it as an FX-unit as well.

Ah, I'd sure love a keyboard like that :)
Maybe someday

Oh shit.. but actually. Now would be the prime time to get one. They'r cheap cos people think vst's can do similar things (NOT). Soon they'll jump in price and be VINTAGE! NOOOO!!!

Oh hey. This might be a good opportunity to ask if anyone knows where i could find the sysex definition for the Nova. I've tried searching the net with no luck. And Novations tech support just ignored me and offered me the regular manual..

Hey rob
I am trying to decide between getting novation nova or the mininova. How does the vocoder compare on both. If the Novak vocoder is alright I will probably go with that.

Post

Can somebody (Rob or anyone) give me the final word on whether all the Novation synths sound the same or not?

I mean all the VA's. The K-station, the V-station, The old Novas and the Ultra Novas.

Thanks, entertain the idea of a Supernova II & UltraNova. I love the V-station btw. LOVE IT
