How do I play multiple notes at the same time?

How to do this, that and the other. Share, learn, teach. How did X do that? How can I sound like Y?

I just bought Era Medieval Legends, but I can't seem to play multiple notes at the same time. It's like it only plays one note at a time.

I want to be able to play multiple notes.

I use FL Studio and regular pc-keyboard (not a midi keyboard, just the keyboard to type with).

It's called polyphony and also voices if there is a setting called one of those 2. ATM you have a monophonic instrument.
16 voices is usually enough.
Hope you can find the setting.
The QWERTY keyboard should be fine to play chords.
I wonder what I want in here
-my site is gone and music a mess

Yes... and? Where are the settings then?

I have a monophonic instrument, but I'd like it to be played polyphonic, like I do with soundfonts.

How do I do that?

you have just spent money on a sample library ... might be worth it to check out the manual then j/s...

he gave you the answer, cant expect us to pinpoint the exact location of every setting on any synth/plugin out there

A few seconds of googling was enough for me to find where polyphony is covered in the manual. (best service engine polyphony)

Cool, Meff has your back.
I installed fruity,
the setting isn't in FL,
so deffo it's in the sampler.
FL defaults to playing chords.

I can't figure out the settings in the Sampler.

I read the manual to the Engine (ver. 2) at page 50. I still cannot play multiple notes.

Your pc keyboard is not polyphonic. It's only combinations with shift, ctrl and alt that are multiple keys at a time.

That's what I think.

I use to play multiple notes pressing multiple buttons on my keyboard with normal soundfonts and VST's in FL Studio.

It works very well. With soundfonts and all other VST's EXCEPT Medieval Legends!

Sorry, it seems like I haven't understood the VST:

Some intstruments like the Virginal and other plucked strings play fine polyphonic, but not flutes or fiddles, as they are monophonic.

PC keyboard is polyphonic,
it works in Flowstone-
and I just checked FL, where it does too.
The problem lies in the sampler.

edit- oh, OK.
If you need them polyphonic it's hard to record and map them-
I mean it's time consuming more so

That's how the real instruments are too. To play multiple voices, use one player per voice.

Most samplers give you the option to tweak the polyphony of any instrument, even those that have been programmed as mono. Just search in the manual for the word 'polyphony' and study all the entries that contain it.
