Is that made with wine glasses, I always thought it was organ? Sounds more like one to me. I've had a few attempts to get close to the glass harmonica/wine glass sort of sound though as I love it - the first patch in my bank is Glass Armonique (try also reducing the attack in that patch and setting the hit position all the way to the right in resonator A if you want something less well defined) and in the last batch of patches I had another go at it with the "Glass organ" patch - both the Flutebell patches are also in that ballpark (actually so are Blown bowls and Floating Vibe and Soft she approaches has some of that diaphanous smeary quality although a bit grainier).

Yes, the actual clip is a wine glasses track from Household Objects album from 1974 - an abandoned Floyd project, though, this track was later used for creating Shine On You Crazy Diamond pad.
Now this pad consists of a few layers: wine glass, Hammond organ, string ensemble synth and a synth bass drone. Though the most critical effect is provided by the glass, I believe. It's that swirling sound that does the magic.

I didn't realise that, but the organ sound dominates too much for me to really be able to distinguish the glass sound - also organs are possibly the one type of sound Chromaphone doesn't do particularly well. However if it's anything like a glass harmonica or solo wine glasses then I can probably get closer to those. I'll keep trying.

It is indeed wine glass harp. There is no doubt. It's a fact. Pink Floyd wanted to create an album without using any musical instruments, only household objects. That was the whole idea. Hence the name of the album - "Household objects". So there is no organ in this track as sure as there are no other instruments.
What you possibly mistake for "organ sound" is achieved with playing glass harp tuned to different notes. Probably a few layers of them in this track to add thickness and weight to the sound, but still, there is no organ playing here whatsoever, that is for absolute sure! And if my words are not enough, you can see it for yourself. David Gilmour explains it to his solo band, and then Rick Wright plays his Minimoog synth, accompanied by the gentlemen in the band playing the glass. Once again, no organ engaged.

Updated note on my website - this isn't a 'license', just a request, particularly if people plan to use these more than just 'casually'.
Donation link is at the top of the pageAll these soundbanks, presets and sound design/performance tools are free to download and use in your own music (including commercial) as long as I am acknowledged and my stuff is not redistributed or resold without my permission.
Donations are not required but are appreciated and help me to purchase new plugins which I use to create new soundbanks and Kore templates for - so what you give you receive - thankyou

Just a reminder - this is 80 free patches now - mostly impossible instruments ('bowed flute' etc) but all very playable and particularly suited to modern classical/experimental music
I am also working on a NKS conversion - coming soon

Ok NKS version uploaded:

You will need the Chromaphone bank too of course, from here:
http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm
Even if you don't have Komplete Kontrol I'd install the Chromaphone bank update as there are a couple of fixes (eg 2 patches had the same name)

And this bank now also has patch previews for Komplete Series keyboards (and Maschine), courtesy of NI forum member Christos Adamos.
I have put the previews in a separate download for now as it adds to the file size
http://www.fingermarks.co.uk/Komplete/C ... mplete.zip
To add user Previews you need to copy the folder named “.previews” inside the folder containing the specific bank of nksf presets they are for. You will need to turn on hidden files to see them though as any folder with a dot in front is designated an ‘invisible’ folder on Mac and I think on Windows too.

Little bump just to say it's a joy having these now so integrated into my keyboard and the previews are nicely done.
The new instruments I added tend to focus on strings including some more bowed sounds but I also found it possible to create some really playable, woody and growly sounding jazz and acoustic basses.
