I have a question regarding the multitimbrality od Sampletank.
I have four slots for various instruments and ca set a different Midichannel for each of the four slots.
However, i seem to be able to only access one of those instruments at once, the one in the part slot that is highlighted. But i cannot send in midi data to part slot one on a midichannel and send in midi data on another midichannel for another part slot.
Is this just the way it works or am i doing something wrong ?
I thought that Sampletank is multitimbral.

I guess there's something wrong in your workflow. Sampletank may recibe data in 16 channels, with up to 16 different instruments. However, I use only a DAW, so each channel is recorded individually. Are you trying to do this "live"?

Yes, i use a DAW only for mixing audio and record everything live with my hardware synths to a Zoom r16.
I was thinking to use Sampletank as a multitimbral Sampler and need to access the four parts simultaneously with different Midi Channels. My sequencer is an MPC.

You can highlight any number of instruments by multi-tapping them all at once. If you want all four instruments, tap all four and they will highlight.
Keep in mind the polyphony. I think the current SampleTank has 16-note polyphony, though it is said an update will come out scaling polyphony based on device (hopefully up to 64-notes).

Yes it will be updated to have polyphony like that of iGrand Piano and iLectric Piano, then after that the next update would be the one that adds Audiobus to the lot.iPlogger wrote:You can highlight any number of instruments by multi-tapping them all at once.
