I saw it available as an effects slot in audiobus the other day. I clicked to buy, but it said US only.
The app isnt released yet, so it was prob a developer error.
Im excited..
I posted on SB forum for a release date.
:D

what was the price !?

Post

Didnt see.
It was at the top of the list within the audiobus app. When I clicked through it was a US purchase only so price wasnt shown(Im in the UK) by the time id faffed around and gone back, it had dissapeared.
Turnado is on of my fave VST's and having this in the Ipad will be very cool.

$19.99 and it's out now btw.

Wierd, it says 20 bucks, but once I hit buy, got a price change message, it's now 15 buck.
Not that I'm complaining ...
I never used the vst version too much, not too much fun using a mouse but the ipad version should change that.

Please share your workflows (as in your ideal workflow, not "how to").

I'm highly curious about using (but don't have the iPad with to try, which is also preventing me from making an impulse purchase).

Also, is this app, the full Turnado plugin or is there anything missing when compared?

I think this could be a very nice sound design tool, and at $15 or $19, it'll be hard to say no.

IMO it's pretty much a no brainer, sounds good so far. AFAIR this looks like the "real" thing, plus it has 4 xy pads that let you deal with 2 fx with a single finger. It has a recorder as well. Every fx seems to be editable like the vst version. You can even double tap that area to get a zoom wich may help with editing.
Only downside for me is the vertical layout, though it's ok to use it horizontal, maybe just a bit tricky for the advance editing.

They really did a nice job, audiobus, jack, midi clock, midi out so you can record you performance, good stuff !

I was already able to crash it fooling on an edit page, but will try with a clean re-boot.

I did and learned more things in 5-10 minutes than a year with the vst version, it's really cool with a tablet.
So far gave them 5 stars.

Taken from the iOS version manual:

The Turnado iPad Edition offers the full functionality of the Mac/PC version, plus some extra features. We added 4 XY-Pads which control all Main Knobs. We added an audio player with iTunes import, a recorder,
a handy "All Effects Off" button and many little tweaks to improve the handling.

After going through the manual, I'm off to spend some money.

EDIT - direct link from their website:

EDIT 2 - (forgot to post this link the first time I edited) From the desktop version, but a rather comprehensive review:

Where are you finding the manual? The link inside the app is broken, and I don't see anything about the app in their site....

Does it have a way to load audio files, or is strictly use an effect (like in audio bus/jack)?

Post

Yep, looks like it.

No go for any ioDock users. And there's a lot of those. What an oversight.
