Does anyone know how to store backups of different versions of ios apps?
Since The app store only contains the current version of an app but my iPad 1 won't run the current version of many apps as you can t upgrade to ios6
I need a way to back up the older apps from the iPad 1 as I sometimes need to shuffle apps around to make space. However I also have an IPad 3 so I want to have backups of the current version as well.
It seems to me that Apple should keep the last version of each app for each final version of ios.

I am in the same boat. I wanted to get seline Hd, but it is for ios 6 only and I lost the ios 5 version so now I feel screwed out of using core midi with the older version...
Hopefully, someone has a good answer...

What about iTunes for older ipad1 and iCloud for the ipad3. Should keep everything separate.

And what about the iPhone 3GS and iphone4?.....
Anyway I'm too cheap to pay for that much iCloud storage. Day to day Dropbox is much more useful

I think when you back up your device via iTunes it saves the files, you could back up before you remove the app from the ipad1, then manually move it to a different folder. Put it back when you need to put it back on the ipad1? Maybe it would work.
