Error Loading Kimu-Cream_x64 VST version in SonarX2a Producer. Same issue when i tried loading it in Maschine1.8. Running Windows 8 x64, build 9200. I downloaded 1.0.1 today and still have same problem. Failure point reported as: Main Call.
32 bit seems to load and play ok.

Thanks

SONAR X2a Essential works fine with Kirnu Cream_x64 VST v1.0.1.
but you can try to have only Kirnu Cream_x64 in SONAR VST plugin path, because SONAR crashes also if it can't handle any other plugin.
this is a SONAR specific unsolved problem.

This does not make sense to me. I get same problem\failure trying to load Cream_x64 with Maschine 1.8. I tried putting only Cream_x64 in VST path, same problem.
I looked in Registry;
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR Producer\Cakewalk VST X64\Inventory\c:/program files/cakewalk/vstplugins/Kirnu-Cream_x64.dll
and see a lot of fields not set(dscription,dllVersion..) or not set correctly (isX64 = 0).
I have many, many x64 plugins that work just fine. This is the only VST plugin that fails for me. Im wondering if this is a windows 8 related compiled support problem. Understand this is an early release, and many things to support all types of configurations, but m not convinced this is a SONAR problem yet.

Thanks

What is your Cream data path?
Does the situation change when you change the data path to folder you don't need any write permissions?

Thanks Kirnu,
That was the problem, the data directory i chose needed administrator privileges. Changed my data directory to "My Documents\Cream" during install, and all is working great now. Thank you.

Hi iriond,

Does Sonar X2a work OK when there is more than one instance of Cream added to the project?

I'm using Sonar X1d and using more than one instance of Cream in the project always crashes Sonar..
