Again?? Shit, this last year really went by so fast...
... and I don't even know who's in the running for Germany.

Frankly, I don't know a single song this time. Just putting this thread up because I wanted to do it for once!

Oh, right.
I had to google it... that song sounds pretty familiar, but I can't quite place it.
Just a typical run-of-the-mill disco stomper with a kitschy refrain and horrendous lyrics ("I want to live before I die" - Walt Whitman, eat your heart out). Top 5 for sure.
Maybe I'll get drunk and watch it. Heh heh.

I'm not inclined to take Eurovision so seriously but every time it comes around I think that going back to the native language concept would do it a world of good - English has a way of streamlining it.

My word - the Cascada tune is better than I thought! Maybe the 90s eurodance style has steeped long enough to go from bad to cool.

i used to love it years ago when you would see some real music from these places rather than some english stype pop babllad nonsence.Bonteburg wrote:I'm not inclined to take Eurovision so seriously but every time it comes around I think that going back to the native language concept would do it a world of good - English has a way of streamlining it.
the whole thing is a bit weird these days and now we dont even have old tel commentating so the comedy value has gone for the uk viewers
