MIDI note off for hardware synths

Hi,
I'm having a frustrating problem with Cantible and am wondering if anyone can shed some light on this...

I'm currently using the trial version of Cantible Performer to set up live synth patches for an upcoming band project. I love the software, but before I purchase it I'd like to solve the one major issue I'm having - the seeming fact that the "All Notes Off" button in Cantible only appears to affect software synths while having no effect at all on hardware (in this case, my Triton rack). When running the Triton with my ProTools rig, the ProTools panic feature works perfectly so I'm thinking that the problem lies with Cantible. Is there any way around this? If I'm onstage and I get a stuck note I obviously need to be able to shut it off immediately, but right now I'm having to switch patches on the Triton manually (or power off and on again) to make it stop and this is clearly not acceptable in a live setting. This is either a huge oversight or I'm totally missing something (hopefully the latter) - any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe another problem can occur because not all HW midi modules respond proper to all the midi reset commands...

Only way would be sending ton's of explicit note off and controller reset commands then... which is very time consuming, not elegant at all and hardly be applicable non-programmatically.

There is another duo of commands that some older gear used to kill notes - Poly Off then Poly On - CC's 126 and 127 respectively.

Run it in Cantabile and monitor the reset command from PT. See what it is transmitting.

If there is some additional stuff that the Triton demands you could program a quick midi file and assign it to a controller. You might even be able to record the shutdown routine directly from PT in to Cantabile - although, as you can see from Cantabile's panic button, there's no reason why the Triton should not simply behave.

Interesting. Looks like I never stop learning new midi tricks... it seems to be an endless plaground even after decades of midi invention...
