---I may be the only one who doesn't care for recording and making drum beats etc...I need and love great synth sounds and just don't want to have to jump through hoops to get to use them or buy them.
Some of don't use PayPal and some of us don't want to have to use special programs to load sounds, we aren't full time musicians we have day jobs and play on the weekends when we get a chance. We count too!
Nanostudio's sounds (especially some of the commercial ones!) are great and the sounds I heard for Beatmaker 2 are really cool but since I don't have PayPal I guess I'm out of luck.
It would be nice to have access to these two resources and just have the non drum, non sequencer apps..just the sounds with the ability to make preset banks for live use.
My wish...

If you have nanostudio you can set it up to have only Eden synths. And you don't have to record, you can just use it as a synth rack.

---Thanks, I guess my point was why should those of us who will most likely never use the drums or the recording capabilities have to pay for them? How hard would it be to have a separate app called, "Eden" and have the sounds transferrable on iTunes like most of my other apps do?
I do realize that I don't have to use the record function or the drums but don't those features take up memory even if you don't use them? They're part of the app and for at least me they're wasted space.

If you open a preset empty synth in BM 2, you can use the midi out to control any synth in background mode. Also using a separate midi control app like TB Midi Stuff can allow you to setup something that controls drum sampler and other iOS synths all from one app.

You don't have to pay for them, there's tons of synth options on ios. And actually, sunrizer can open patches directly from emails, etc, no transfer needed from computer. If you get the audio elements app (free) there are two sunrizer patch packs in that that are purchased through iTunes and load directly into sunrizer.Scott Murrell wrote:---Thanks, I guess my point was why should those of us who will most likely never use the drums or the recording capabilities have to pay for them? But, if you want Eden it currently only is in nanostudio. It sounds like his focus is very much on making nanostudio 2, so I don't know that he's looking to change anything else, but try asking him, you never know. I think Eden is a good synth, but if I truly didn't want any other part of nanostudio, I would just use other synths. Having Magellan, animoog, imini, sunrizer, voice synth, mini synth, igrand, ilectric, super manetron, thumbjam, and on and on, there's no lacking for sounds, and they all sound good.
Just my thoughts. I do wish, in beatmaker, that there was a way, without jail breaking, to delete the factory sounds as most of what comes with it sounds terrible in my opinion. No need for bad banjo samples (one might argue that there's no need for good ones either!), etc, that take up space...my ipad is only 16gb so I have to be very space conscious.
I the end though, we have really incredible tools on ios that barely cost anything, it's a good "problem" to have I'd say.

I think so. I have tried several options and I can get to the folder where the samples are kept, I can select them to delete, but they don't delete. When my phone was jailbroken I was able to do it with ifile. Intua has locked them as far as I know. I have no plans to jailbreak my ipad anytime soon.

---Thank ya'll for the replies. We are living in great times and I shouldn't be dwelling on the negative aspects and since I have a ton of synth apps maybe I just need to use those that sound good and learn to use them correctly.

Scott, that reply should be permanently stuck to all if our App Store pages every time we go to buy more apps! Great response.
