Hello

I am just fooling around with garageband, but i think there are not enough instruments, what banks do you recommand to extend the number of instruments on garageband ?
So far i have found Komplete Native instruments that might seem to extend it ( couldn't try it though, since my phone rang just after the install, and my trial expired after 15mn :( )

pat.

Just a suggestion, why don't you buy Logic Pro instead? (I don't know Garage Band and I don't have Komplete, although I do have Logic and some NI synths in my Hackintosh).

Logic pro has all the instruments to start with and its effects are from the best ones included with a DAW. in addition to that, I think you can use all Garage Band content. It also just costs $200. Later if you want you can expand it with Komplete or/and other instruments/effects.
I would do this if I were you :D

+1 for starting with Logic. Garage Band is fine for beginners and simple things, but if you're already considering Komplete, you will likely quickly outgrow it.

Logic comes with an amazing amount of content and some great synths. There's a lot to learn. Spend time with Logic first.

Komplete is great too; I have it and love it. But I think it makes more sense pairing it with Logic.
Seasoned IT vet, Mac user, and lover of music. Always learning.
