Analog Factory 2.5 and Tracktion 4.3.1

I'm getting really weird results testing Analog Factory 2.5 VSTi with Tracktion and the stand-alone version. Since I could not get Tracktion to recognize AF as a VSTi, I decided to read the short manual for Analog Factory. In the VSTi section of the manual, the user is instructed to install the plug on an audio track and use the keyboard on the UI to produce sound. I was rather amazed at these instructions and even more amazed to discover that AF 2.5 finally sounded in Tracktion 4.3.1! I then changed the track type from audio to MIDI and and Analog Factory was working OK.

I saved the project to see if Analog Factory would work when the project was reloaded; as I expected, it did not work. After loading Analog Factory a few times testing with my DAWs, eLicencer pops up an error message stating that I'm out of test drives! God, what a PITA. I've never had such difficulty with a VSTi instrument ever! What a shame too because Analog Factory has some brilliant, drop dead killer presets!!!

I want to purchase this product but I'm not confident that it will work with my system.

If I do purchase Analog Factory and it doesn't work, will Arturia refund my purchase?

Any ideas?
