What I would change about the track:

- the white noise sweeps (souding like waves) are too dry. They need a big reverb or dub delay or something.

- Song sounds too dry overall. That can be easily solved by using different reverb busses while mixing (room, plate and hall) and send different sounds to them. A tad of room reverb would do wonders on your drum buss. Or even a bit of mastering reverb could fix this track. I like to use PSP easyverb on ambience setting and only mix in 1% of wet signal.

What I like about the track:

It gets my head nodding from the first second. Nice rhythm and I like the bass.

I like the song structure, it kept me listening to the end.

Best,
Dirk

P.S.: If you want, you can comment on my song but you don't feel obliged.

hi, manducator. thanks for such a in-depth analysis of my track! :)

your point about a dry mix and reverb busses is very good and i can't disagree with that. i'll consider that in my next track's mixing sessions...
i guess this track sounds dry because of such a high humidity here, in Israel. :hihi:

you track sounds very nice, a catchy tune and a proper mixing. good job! :)
