Hi there,

Sometimes, when jamming, it happened that I came out with a tune and wanted to see what scales contain those notes, and also the compatible chords for those scales. I was searching everywhere for an app that could give me that info and I couldn't find one. So, I decided to create my own app. It's now available on App Store and it's called EnScale. If you select a note, it generates all scales in that key (now there are 41 scales) and all compatible chords for every scale (limited, for now, to triads). If you select more notes, then all scales containing those notes are generated. If anyone might find it useful, well, it's on the iOS app store, here:

That sounds like a great idea for a songwriting tool.
Good luck on your efforts.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I believe it's very useful in different situations. Even if it's only used for breaking the major/minor/pentatonic/blues scales monopoly on which 99% of today's western music is based upon (it contains 41 types of scales, and more will be added in updates). Some friends bought it to use it to practice improvisation, for example.
