Posting Logic Pro X bugs in another topic because main thread got trolled.
Captain wrote:So, here are a couple of (possible) bugs. These used to work just fine in Logic 9.

1. In Arrange, select a single MIDI or audio region on a track with multiple regions. Go to another screenset and come back (or just refresh the first screenset). Now all regions on that track are selected, as if you had just made that track active.

2. If you have an Arrange & Piano Roll windows open in the same screenset, selecting a MIDI region in Arrange shows the contents of the selected region in Piano Roll, as it should. But having them in different screensets breaks the connection. The selected region is visible in Piano Roll, but you need to manually scroll to its location. (This thing alone makes LX in its current state pretty useless for me.)

3. Waves SSLChannel & SSLGChannel plugins usually look like this when you open them. Switching to Controls and back to Editor fixes the problem, until you open the plugin window again.

For those not getting their iPad remote to work. Make sure to delete any templates from previous versions (ie.- TouchOSC) as well as the current one and restart Logic then add a new one again.

flonky wrote:Hello,
I saved my autoload with tempo 128. When Logic starts and shows up the "Save"-dialogue, I can still see the tempo 128:

When I click "Cancel" - what I mostly do in this case -, Logic changes the tempo to 120:

When I open a blank project and type in tempo 128 in the detail's box...

... again the song opens with tempo 120:

When I close a song in Logic and open my autoload via "New" and chose it from my templates, it opens up correctly with tempo 128.

This seems to be a bug or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
Flo

Good idea this topic.

Opening plugins and resize: Shrink to 50% the plugin shows 51-52& sometimes snaps back into place clicking on the mouse.

Please verify i tried a few old plugins (native) compressor etc.

Thanks, that fixed it! I thought it was just some setting I missed, since everything worked otherwise perfectly, but fader movements etc didn't transfer from iPad to Logic. :)

Do you guys have a Developer account? You should report bugs there as well. I had found a Slice to Midi bug in Logic 9, reported it and it was actually fixed a few updates down the road without ever being acknowledged. So either a lot more people reported this bug, or Apple actually looks at those. Bummer that you need a Developer account though... but I guess that keeps it more in check without getting a million bug reports.

Actually I do, thanks for the tip! I just usually want to verify all bugs with other "normal" users before reporting them in a more official way. But good to know that there is actually some hope in getting bug reports through to the Big A! :)

1. CPU spikes with audio drop outs
2. Many crashes of different reasons

No cpu spikes here.. no crashes yet. Different reasons? Can't you nail it? I mean to a certain plugin or whatever?

AFAIK developers don't really have any special contacts at Apple that can help. The best place to report bugs to Apple is here:

Yes, but you will need a developer account to report bugs. Without that you can't even report anything. Apologies if my post wasn't clear on that.

Oops, I didn't see your earlier post - which was clear. I have some bugs to report, if I can reproduce those posted here I'll add them as well.

Importer V9 projects are having a bug in the environment for me. If I try to move objects, channels strips specifically, then they snap to all weird positions and I can not align them. And yes I did turn off snap to position in the local view menu.
All states of mind create themselves!

I hope I may post my wishes here?
Wishes (most of them were available in v9):
Color panel - user colors (or more choices)
Return of Chordtrack
User icons in tracks
piano roll colors (background)
Option for smaller fonts
Link option in piano roll
