I really love the OB-Xd synthesizer for its' sound, but i can't quite get my head around its' preset handling.
In other synths i usually initialise -> create a patch -> save the patch in whatever category i want to save it but in OB-Xd this doesn't seem possible.
In OB-Xd i (seem to) have to create a bank (for whichever type of sound i want to make, for example Bass) -> pick an empty spot in my bank before creating a patch -> create the patch -> save it. Is this correct or am i doing something wrong?
It just seems limiting to have to decide exactly in which bank i want to save it before creating a patch. And i don't think there's a way to reorder patches inside a bank, is there?
Oh and after saving a project with a preset in another bank than the default 000 bank OB-Xd automatically selects the 000 bank after startup but the patch selection is still offering patches in the last used bank, which is kinda confusing.
Anyone enlighten me please on how you manage presets in OB-Xd.
I also found a bug when you save a project in Renoise with a patch that's not from the default 000 bank it doesn't load the correct patch on reopening the project, but i don't know if that is something going wrong on Renoise's side.
Also: is it still possible to get this blue skin from the old version? https://www.kvraudio.com/video/obxd-2-by-2dat-1812
Anyhow thanks for maintaining this awesome FOSS project!

There's a bank called Blank Canvas than can be duplicated and where presets can be easily copy/pasted.
This is probably a bug on the bank position recall. Will check, thanks.Oh and after saving a project with a preset in another bank than the default 000 bank OB-Xd automatically selects the 000 bank after startup but the patch selection is still offering patches in the last used bank, which is kinda confusing.
The closest one for that one is discoDSP Classic theme. Also: is it still possible to get this blue skin from the old version? https://www.kvraudio.com/video/obxd-2-by-2dat-1812

I've downloaded 2.8 for Windows and after installing I get an "Assets not found" Reinstall OB-XD or give access to the documents folder" message. I've tried reinstalling to no avail and I'm not sure what giving access to the documents folder means so I haven't tried.
One thing that's a little weird though is that the installation folder and the VST folder look pretty empty. The installation folder only has 3 files in it (the program itself and two files related to uninstalling) while the VST folder only has one dll.
Does anyone have an idea why this is?

Create a Disco DSP folder in your documents folder to solve install issues, at least that solved the MAC problemKV4 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 16, 2022 2:45 pm I've downloaded 2.8 for Windows and after installing I get an "Assets not found" Reinstall OB-XD or give access to the documents folder" message. Somehow OB-Xd can't access the resources folder. I think this is the first report for Windows systems.
Create a Documents > discoDSP > OB-Xd folder and place these files manually.

New OB-Xd 2.9 nightly build including JUCE 7 framework update and Linux LV2 plugin support.

Feedback is appreciated so we can get a solid 2.9 release.

Ooh, this one works for me in Logic for me finally! (I never could get 2.8 to work, so had stayed with 2.6...)

Sadly with the vst3 version the host still doesn't see the preset list.
Full Bucket got it to work now for most of his plugins that previously had this problem.

OBXd - JUCE, Full Bucket - iPlug. There's quite some differences stemming from this, alone.
