I downgraded back to 2.1 and the issue went away and both plugin versions appeared again.

I have removed the +/- key navigation code which is the culprit and compiled a windows nightly.

Just checked it out real quick and that seems to have fixed the issue.

Looks like Reaper (in Windows, macOS is OK) doesn't like key presses from plugins anyway, will try to get it fixed ASAP.

I'm trying to test this in OSX 10.15.7

I downloaded the obxd22_mac_nightly_20201213

The folder has the component, 2 VST versions and a standalone app.

I (think) I set the security access correctly in OSX Catalina, but when I launch the standalone it has no GUI and only shows a warning:Screen Shot 2020-12-12 at 7.46.25 PM.jpg





In my documents folder I have a DiscoDSP/OB-Xd/ directory containing Themes, Skins and Banks folders

What do I need to do to get this to work?

OB-Xd app needs permission to use Documents folders.



Logic too for the AU version. I'll consider making a monolithic/portable build because this is giving a lot of headaches to Mac users.

Yes it is odd, I've been searching everywhere to try to understand why I cannot add apps here, the "+/-" buttons are greyed out:

Standalone does not give ASIO as option...Windows or DirectSound only. Same with other standalone products from DiscoDSP (Discovery Pro 6.9).

Works as should in DAW.

Windows build also fixes the drop down preset issue on Reaper previously reported.

I seem to be having a problem with the latest build; it's crashing my DAW. When I replace it with a previous version (AU component dated July 21, 2020) everything is fine. Here is my system info below. Thanks to all involved for such a great plugin.

Are you talking about the 2.2 nightly or the 2.1 release?

When v1.5 and v2.2 are both installed, there's an issue with the VST3 version in Ableton Live.

When just v1.5 is installed, it appears in the "Datsounds" menu as "Obxd". When v1.5 and v2.2 are both installed, v2.2 appears in the "discoDSP" menu as "OB-Xd", but now:

- in the Datsounds menu its name changes to "OB-Xd" (the v2.2 name) but when you load it, v1.5 loads correctly
- in the discoDSP menu, the name is correct for the v2.2 version ("OB-Xd") but it actually loads v1.5, not v2.2

So there's a collision going on with v1.5 and v2.2 with VST3 in Ableton Live. It seems v1.5 will always load, and v2.2 can't be loaded when both are installed.

I'd recommend to uninstall 1.5.

I suspect Live is getting confused because there are no reported issues with other VST3 hosts. For older project you could zip the old .dll and use on demand.

Should have mentioned - I'm on Mac, if that helps track down the problem. For the moment I'll have to keep the versions separate but if there's a way they can be installed side by side that would be ideal.
