Honestly, watch as many as you can.

The best tips I've got have been from live studio sessions with the pros.
This way you see how they set up the chains, and the other types of VSTs they use to create their sound :)

why u need this? all effects have repeating parameters what u sure knows.. tutorials just confuse you.. trust me.... and eq - just listen to frequencies.. divide them to low lows, high lows, low mids an high highs u know.. listen to it and make sound smooth....

I got my free groove 3 pass. I got one once before, and if you go the groove 3 route I would strongly suggest a 1 month all access pass rather than purchasing individual videos. Some of the videos were clearly adverts and had very little or no educational value (waves mastering for example) while others are very very good. Just plan for a not so busy month and veg out on vids, learn as much as possible.

anyway.. something very useful not just about producing music can be found here: http://www.macprovideo.com/

You should watch the vidoes Fabfilter did for their Pro-Q. Not very long but very worthwhile. It can of course be applied to any paragraphic EQ.
