I made this kit for Thumbjam last year and kind of forgot about it, so here it is. At the moment, it can only be downloaded from this link:
http://www.lesproductionszvon.com/downl ... arp_TJ.zip

I will put it on our website over the next days.

The kit contains samples from the Out There sample set, more precisely 12 jawharp and 4 electronic percussion samples. It is one of the 5 free kits set already available for BeatMaker 2 and NanoStudio here:
http://lesproductionszvon.com/for_iOS.htm

My commercial sets for Thumbjam are also on the above page.

Installation:
The individual Thumbjam instrument file is included in the larger zip files that you downloaded. You have to unzip the larger file on your computer first. The larger zip file also contain this documentation and the zvon_license text file.

Do not unzip the individual Thumbjam instrument file as it has to be imported in Thumbjam as is. Please refer to the Thumbjam documentation for the exact import procedure.

Visit the page below for more info about the Out There set. Note that it does not has any other kits for Thumbjam, BeatMaker 2 or NanoStudio. But it contains the wav files that can be imported in any app that loads them.

Really a Jawharp?

No, I'm not crapping on it, I'm just wondering how many different techniques can you really do on these things? I would think a digeridoo would have a heck of a lot more expressive techniques than a jawharp, and be more usefull too.

Well, the app I have used in the past is called Karinding. A native instrument from Sunda, (West Java) is very similar and has the same sound capabilities. I'm sure it varies from the sample pack though.

More than you think, as the breathing and shape of the mouth of the player will affect the sound and you can even talk/hum while playing to further enhance the sound. The sound can also be changed by placing a finger on the reed.

Even though they have some similarities, they're 2 very different instruments. As a percussive instrument I think the jawharp offers more possibilities than the digeridoo and the didgeridoo can do things that a jawharp can't and a violin can do other stuff. But basically, I have a jawharp, I know how to play it and I don't have a didgeridoo.

Seems interesting, if I ever get one, I will sample it.
