hi
i have been learning reaper since sometime now. I can use the sampler which can load only one sound.
Is there any way that i can load multiple samples quickly? 40-50 in a instrument/sampler ?
I heard about sampletank, shortcircuit is that the best possible way or there is anything even better?
I don't need advance features like round robin etc of a sampler. Just quickly playing sounds on a midi note.
any ideas ?
Reaper, getting sounds in a folder on a track

ShortCircuit is your best bet. ST is good but it crashed on me every time I tried to import some sounds in it. Try this, there is a free version. It's pretty good:

I haven't used the stock sampler in Reaper much so cannot comment on that but if I remember correctly it allows drag and drop from track, media browser, etc. so shouldn't be difficult.

tx16wx has always confused the crap out of me for some reason, but I remember that shortcircuit works great with Reaper's media explorer, since it allows drag n' drop. Then again tx16wx is still supported and probably does that too, I know the dev is big on Reaper.
