Film music in alternate key! (Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Park, Lord of the Rings)

Hi

inspired by a project called Major vs. Minor by Oleg Berg.
He digitally transposes popular music pieces to its alternate key.
I tried my own, focused on film music and classical rather than pop.

Pleasantly like to share the result:


in D Major instead of D minor


contains both themes, in Bb minor instead of Bb Major


(official theme, D minor instead of D Major)

Also interesting:

E minor instead of E Major

That was interesting to notice.
Nobody seems to care hearing their favorite movie themes in it's alternate key mode.
Well you will never know how the Pirates of the Caribbean sounds in the more uplifting Major key, instead of it's original minor key.
How the result surprisingly gives the music an even more piratey feel

Well, it's a fun idea, but mostly these sounds like shit, they are not done the proper way (re-written manually).

I don't understand what's your point in doing this. It's common knowledge that Major and minor modes are completely different. Besides, when modulating usually they follow different patterns (I'm talking baroque,classical/romantic music). Therefore, just "transforming" a piece written in major into minor and vice-versa is pointless, IMO.

Yeah, this doesn't really work, there is no real MUSICAL point to it, it's an arbitrary exercise. For instance there are still many [most?] parts that are VERY thoroughly minor-key in ideation clashing against this forced major version of the tune in the Pirates piece, to kind of unfortunate result.
