Drug-induced minimal ambient featuring free form Rhodes, a slight groove, some piano, bass and loads of fx.

Nice start, again the echo lazily flows through the track in a beautiful way. The harmonic flow through this is nice. Certainly is an interesting treatment of the rhodes! Beautifully realised track.

A view from inside a pipe... as the photo indicates. That's nicely atmospheric, though the intro was too long for my unsettled mind. I though, those drone hits sound too sharp, but frankly most stuff sound too sharp on these frigging new headphones. Once the bass chimed in it balanced nicely. Cool.

Super Dynamic, Organic, and Smooth. Do you recall what you used to make the louder bellish sounds layered with the drums?

Thanks Tim, a few more sessions and I'm sure I'll be ready for re-integration.seismic1 wrote:I loved this. The collection of sounds assembled here work very well together and the Sylvianesque groove is terrific. I loved the bass and the Rhodes but I have no idea how you did that. How's the counselling coming along?
Good work
Rhodes... see below.
Bass... just my old standby, the hip hop picked bass in Trilian.
Thanks ZQ - sorry about the ears. I tried to tone it down but still wanted it to be slightly annoying.Zombie Queen wrote:A view from inside a pipe... as the photo indicates. Thanks Junk, nice to see ya!Genetic_Junk wrote:Super Dynamic, Organic, and Smooth. Do you recall what you used to make the louder bellish sounds layered with the drums?
These sounds are from the Rhodes. I used Sonic Couture's EP73 Rhodes, which uses all kinds of deep sampling of the instrument. I time-stretched the Rhodes recording pretty severely, doubled it an octave down and ran each recording through some outboard... delays, tremolo, ring mod and bit crusher.
Thanks a lot Ronnie!core wrote:Beautiful piece, floats by so gently.

I know I am a man of few words when it comes to your music but I really do dig your style - wonderful stuff that always inspires and is worthy of admiration. I've put a clip up here of the next release of mine - there will be a V2.0 next year so if you can find time for a remix then let me know

Very kind of you to say Oscar, and yes, I'd be thrilled to remix your work!
