WOW did'nt see this one comming. Looks very interesting with the harmonizer, creative effects module, and emt 140 reverb. They say the reverb is modeled and it seems they are back to making pure algorithmic reverbs rather than convolution + algorithm hybvrid wich is good if it sounds good, hopefully it does. The creative effects module is seen and described in this video - http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/nectar2/

Thanks for the heads up! After reading this thread i noticed i had a email from Izotope as well talking about the new Nectar 2, if it's good as i think it will be i'll definitely be buying it.
T2 Icarus is a must. SonicCore SCOPE is the most. As heart of studio it has my vote, cause XITE-1 is all she wrote.

Oh no... just promised to myself that I won't need or BUY more plug-ins... :dog:
Optimal number of audio plugins is one more than you currently have.

Elements seems like a great deal at that price. In my opinion, Izotope are one of the top developers out there. It'll be interesting to see if they can get the harmonizer correct and if they do, I'm buying it. Alloy 2 is already very good for vocals, even just using some of the presets, but I'm yet to hear a convincing harmonizer, so I hope they nail it.

Glad I just purchased Nectar 1 about 2 weeks ago, so I qualify for the free upgrade.

Is Nectar more CPU intensive than Nectar Elements?

Edit:

BTW:
Customers who purchased Nectar after August 1, 2013 will receive a free upgrade to Nectar2 upon release. Special upgrade pricing will be available for all previous Nectar and NectarElements customers upon release.

Will it include customers who purchased Elements after this date to get free upgrade to Elements2? I don't think so.

Will be upgrading as soon as

I just bought the upgrade from elements- £100, not too bad for the harmoniser and melodine like pitch/vibrato editor. To be honest I use this stuff on guitar solos more than vocals, but the harmoniser (with midi input) can be a hoot on samples and synth. My Vocalist Pro rack is about to go on ebay, so in a way I'm making money (t5hats just in case my wife is reading this).
