How to do this, that and the other. Share, learn, teach. How did X do that? How can I sound like Y?

I've been playing around with the demo version of SampleTank a bit, and for some reason, I get this weird crackling noise sometimes, you could call it interference.

Here is a demonstration: http://jk.tl/0u21042b2d2N (http://jk.tl/0u21042b2d2N)

(I exported it through FL Studio)

My configuration is iMac Late 2012 + VMWare Fusion 6 running Windows XP SP3
FL Studio Producer Edition 11.0.2
SampleTank 2

Could this be caused by my Audio setup? I switched from default to Asio4All and it occurs on both systems.

Any help for a newbie would be greatly appreciated!

This is usually caused by ST's built-in reverb. You have to get its volume down.

I love music, worked with a number of music/rhythm/dance games like Pump It Up, In The Groove, Cytus and Deemo, and teach music production.

Added: also, turn off your multicore processing in FL, that method kills crackles immediately.

almost all audio artifacts that occur on a single plugin in fl studio can be solved by doing this:

click on the gear at the top left of the plugin window

select "processing" tab

select "use fixed sized buffers"

click "yes" in the popup window

click the gear

done.
