iPhone arpeggiator / sequencer: Magellan Jr.

I still haven't found a MIDI looper that's comparable to the audio looper Loopy. Meanwhile, I'd like to put my iPod Touch 4G to good use running some hardware. Trouble is, the best arpeggiator (StepPolyArp) and the obvious sequencers are iPad-only. Yes, I know about Little MIDI Machine: it's great for a free program, but I don't like entering notes on unlabeled sliders. I also have Arpeggionome, but it doesn't do chords.

Enter Magellan Jr., an app I've had on both my iPods since the day it came out. In addition to being a good synth, Magellan is also a crack MIDI controller. It can arrange 16-step patterns into songs, it has a touchpad for adding expression to notes, and it has a capable arpeggiator.

I think this will pair nicely with something like the Volca Bass and still be very portable.
