Positive Grid, the makers of JamUp and other cool guitar tool apps have been at it again in the labs. I've had the pleasure of getting to know the newest addition of the family. Although I can't reveal a whole lot about the app itself...I can say, this is an app for guitarists that will blow your minds. I know everyone tries to create a bunch of hype around their new "babies" but I think PG has kind of earned that right. This app has a ton of features I've never seen before in any app...I'm counting 43 amps at the moment...and, one of them is mine....and it's a powerhouse.

Ha really really cool! Kinda wish I was a guitarist so I could try it out. I do have JamUp XT, but I bought back when it was one of few Audiobus effects available, mostly for using it with all the guitar apps out there, but it can work wonders on anything I've noticed.

Speaking of Postive Grid, do you know if there are any talks yet about a release window for their Mastering app? Or is it still to early in development to tell?

I think this release is going to come first...mastering will be later on. There's a lot that goes into that and we want it to be perfect, but I'll keep you guys posted

Here is the first sound test of the amp...this is a dry recording with just a tad of reverb added...no other effects used at all...starting with a very low gain stage and progressing to 1/2 gain and then 3/4 gain. Still has some tweaking to do but quite a variety of sound out of this. Can't wait to do another recording with some EQ, distortion pedal, and some delay.... Like I said, this is JUST the amp without any other processed sound.

Please take care - inside this new app and JamUp too if possible - of the noises that occur when switching between presets. They can be pretty harmful on a PA at high volumes.

Besides, MIDI assignments per preset instead of global would be awesome!

Anyway, can't wait for the new app!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
