Hi,

Does Cubasis handle SMFs in the same way as Cubase by assigning each track to an appropriate Halion Sonic sound? i.e. you just import a MIDI file, hit play and you get a reasonable sound without having to manually assign instruments to each track.

My thinking is that if Cubasis does do this it could be a useful mobile tool for both evaluating downloaded MIDI files and making tweaks/corrections to the parts in a Cubase-esque environment. They could then be exported into full Cubase to mix into backing tracks.

Is anyone with Cubasis willing to test this please?

Thanks,
Roger

I bought Cubasis.

The first thing that hit me is that I finally have a properly productive DAW on an iPad in the context of what I want one for.

Whilst the mixer and fx have limitations, they far exceed what I expected in this type of package.

Very impressive :D

I'd be inclined to agree if I could find a way to stop the Metronome click from being recorded with my audio track, and for that matter I think all MIDI tracks somehow spill into the Audio tracks. I'm using the iRig for guitar.
