And now the fun begins...
Congratulations William. I haven't seen such a hard-working and dedicated guy like you. Keep rocking man.

I enjoyed making that UI. I hope people like it. The simplistic design without any flashy knobs/buttons may not catch the eye at first. Secondly, the entire GUI is re-sizable that makes it very difficult to try out different ideas. Lets see how it goes.
By the way, I didn't know those extra Windows files are optional. I just installed it before even trying without it. I haven't done anything on the installer, will try when I get some time.

Thanks! Indeed, the idea here is not another complex modular system, but something else, my own vision.

Okay, for the technical stuff, I ran this on windows 8 64-bit, i7 processor, 8 GB ram. Ran the standalone version and then the .dll inside sonar x3. Both versions ran fine, I did not need the extra data or the font installed, just the base data . I didn't experience any stability issues, but I wasn't trying to crash it. CPU usage seemed light.
It sounds great! Very rich sounding, and quite "analog"to my ears. The modules and the nodes for patch cables have clear labeling, so I could always tell what was doing what. I'm hoping the full version comes with more modules, at least a full ADSR envelope. I only had a little time to play with it before the wife and kid got home, so I'll experiment more with it later. I've got to perform the "do weird stuff and try to crash it" test...

Downloaded the mac beta. The AU is showing up, in Live 9 32 bit, but not opening. The VST isn't showing up at all. I didn't really know where to put the wusik data folder ( instructions are not clear ). I tried it in both application support folders ( system and user ) but it didn't help. Has anyone got it running on mac ?

Hello, here on my MAC Test Machine it runs, but so far I must place the DATA folder in the same folder as the .component or .vst file. I will improve that soon. The code also looks for a link/alias file named Wusik 4000 Data, but I haven't tested on the MAC yet, only on Windows.

The linking doesn't work here as instructed on windows 8 pro x64.
I have wusikstation and eve data working with links but not wusik 4000.
I tried both creating a direct link to the structure as contained in the data zip file and to a folder that contained a folder called "Wusik 4000 Data" to no avail. The link is called as instructed in the docs.
Since that didn't work I tried to copy the files into the same folder as the vst dll as instructed, but that didn't work either. Only when I put the content of the data-zip into a subfolder below the dll and call it "Wusik 4000 Data" I got it to work finally.
If that is how it should be, it would be good to have this folder contained in the zip already.
Not sure what's wrong.
In my short test, I found the sound very good and natural or "analog" as far as that word says anything
I especially liked the self oscillation.
Interesting concept - with more modules this will be quite a nice instrument.
I had several crashes in Live 8.1.4 32 Bit but since I was only playing around for a bit, I didn't take notes.
If I should encounter reproducible (crash)bugs I'll report further.
My main interest would be mangling samples with this engine, so I hope this module will be not too far off
Cheers,
Tom

Moved the file to the components folder. Still doesn't open.WilliamK wrote:Hello, here on my MAC Test Machine it runs, but so far I must place the DATA folder in the same folder as the .component or .vst file. I will improve that soon. Ok, just to confirm.
Wusik 4000.component
In the same folder as this file, a sub-folder named Wusik 4000 Data and inside the actual data files, Modules, Extras, Presets, ... ?

@William: If you can attach a screen shot of the folder structure as it looks in MAC installation, it would help. Sometimes text only makes it bit difficult to comprehend.
Here is how it looks on Windows:
Content of root folder. Wusik 4000 Changes.txt is actually a separate download, I just copied it to the root folder, to keep it handy:
