From Ipadmusic.com and information from 9to5mac
According to 9to5mac Apple changed their icon for GarageBand in iCloud storage settings. It has clear iOS-7 like design. Most probably we will see new version with Inter-App Audio support, may be new instruments and Virtual Drummer like in LogicX pro. Also support of more then 8 tracks and mixing console with Insert and send effects are long waited features but let's see in which direction Apple will come with this update.
Updated version of GarageBand for iOS7 is expected on 22nd October.
This sounds very nice

Thanks for the information. I have been wondering if they were going to update GB. My one request is for MIDI Channel support. OMNI makes it more difficult to use for live performance.

Aside from the icon revision, (which has been pulled) none of the statements in your post appear anywhere on 9 to 5 Mac.MillerSam wrote:From Ipadmusic.com and information from 9to5mac

Careful about starting them rumors there.
Everything stated after, "most probably" is your conjecture.

read the text from the site carefully
"Most probably" and "may be"
The according sentence is only the icon update

You put it all in the same paragraph though.

I would think they would put garageband free to boost the iPad sales.
Almost a no-brainer considering macs come with garageband.
Looking forward to the new iPads, I like the feel of the iPads mini. The specs, not so much.

Why 32 tracks only in Ipad 5? I have a decked out 128GB Ipad 4 and only 16 tracks? Is this a marketing ploy to nudge you to buy a Ipad 5? The Ipad 4 has a quad core processor. If ALL of my other DAW apps on the Ipad can handle 32 or more tracks, why not GarageBand for IPad?MillerSam wrote:The update is online

I push Auria to the limit all too often on my iPad2, so maybe they want the user to have a trouble free-ish experience.

The iPad 4 has a dual core processor that's a lot slower than the A7. I'm speculating here, but I think between the recorded audio and the potential to run so many virtual instruments, they probably wanted a user-friendly experience in regards to tapping out the hardware. Apple generally is a lot more conservative with stuff like this than other companies.Karmacomposer wrote:Why 32 tracks only in Ipad 5? I have a decked out 128GB Ipad 4 and only 16 tracks? Please note that it is no longer possible with the new version to export GB projects into Logic 9 or less. Also although it is nice to have direct IAA access as a choice of instrument , the number of apps qualifying is still
very limited and stability an issue. Audiobus remains a better tool so far I believe.
