hello.. please....
three days ago me finally arrived m3-8 & sbx10 from m-audio.... and i want set the live sound with behringers - i dont know what signal processors specifficaly but....
can be signal processor inverting phase or this is only amplifiers thing?
thank you..
is crossover on subwoofer modulating phase?
must i worry about(lets say professional behringer - i think its best tools for creating live sound:P) in it phase switching by other value than 180°?
what is benefit from modulating phase? i read i need strongest output.. this will be volume thing so do i must worry about phase switching by 180° or it can be easily compensated with volume knob?
dudes, thanks..

Don't know if you know already, but your SBX10 subwoofer already has a crossover built in and outputs at the back to connect to M3-8's to. So you don't need any extra signal processors at all.
So the outputs of your audio interface go into the SBX, then chain the nearfield monitors into the SBX. Simple as that.
If you put a small voltage on the input (say a 1.5v battery) with + of the battery connected to + of the input, then the speaker should move outwards. It could move inwards as well, no problem as long as your other speakers behave in the same way. To correct this you have a phase switch, for nothing else.
But I have to say that the brands you pick (M-Audio & Behringer) are both very frowned upon in the professional market.

Inverting phase is simply the swapping the + and - wires. Not specifically an amp or processor thing. You need to do it only when speakers in your setup are wired differently.psychokps wrote:can be signal processor inverting phase or this is only amplifiers thing?

A cross-over is a filter. It is technically impossible to make a filter with analog components that does nothing to the phase response. And musically so-called linear phase filters have possibly unwanted side effects: pre-ringing.psychokps wrote:is crossover on subwoofer modulating phase?
Nope, don't worry.psychokps wrote:must i worry about(lets say professional behringer - i think its best tools for creating live sound:P) in it phase switching by other value than 180°?
