I finally finished up this fun little project. It should be regarded more as an interesting toy than as a true representation of the Gamelan.
It is free and public domain. You can do anything you like with it with no strings attached.

Somewhat like a Xylophone every key on the keyboard (well C2-F7) has a (correctly pitched) note as I've stretched the Metallophones. This is not realistic, but it is fun.

Akito Van Troyer and Jim Hearon simulated a number of Gamelan instruments on the computer. If I understand correctly these are samples of that simulation. Unfortunately some of the samples are quite short, however they are interesting sounds that are somewhat uncommon.
