Care to share any of your experience(s) with audio/sound-related software you've found in the Mac App Store?
Here are some of my favourites thus far; some of them freeware; most with demos, in case you're interested:
Logic Pro (the previous version to Pro X) - may as well list this first - still drives me up the wall as I find it very counter-intuitive (to me) at times, but I get a lot of use out of it for soundtrack work. Still, I REALLY wish I could drag the video player/viewer onto another desktop, and that it didn't disappear when Logic isn't in focus.
Screenflow - I know there are are other options for screen and system audio capture, but I've always really appreciated this app and the developer's attention to detail with regards to it's workflow, flexibility, and usability. It's actually my go-to video editor as I HATE iMovie. Mostly I like Screenflow for video editing more than iMovie because Screenflow has a more standard/traditional timeline interface for doing the editing. HOWEVER, I was really excited when I read that Screenflow 3 (as opposed to the previous version) has AudioUnit hosting, but was totally bummed when I started it up, loaded Bidule, and realized that Screenflow does not (as yet) allow one to open the AudioUnit's user interface. Instead we have to use Screenflows default sliders to control the plugin's parameters; which sucks ass for using Bidule because I have to actually be able to open the Bidule interface to set up the sliders. Anyway, just thought I'd share that to save someone else a similar headache.
Demo available here: http://www.telestream.net/screenflow/ (there wasn't a demo available when I decided to gamble and purchase it)
Name Mangler 3 - I have absolutely NO COMPLAINTS about this purchase. This app is BRILLIANTLY designed and has been indispensable for batch renaming (in all manner of ways) thousands audio files.
* Also available from the Name Mangler website - http://manytricks.com/namemangler/
PixelConduit - this app is AMAZING (IMO). I was skeptical based on the self praising description, but, really, it's pretty accurate. If you have any interest in doing multi-media work, real-time visual control to accompany audio, controlling visuals WITH audio, etc... do your self a favour and download this - it's FREE. I know of and have experimented with many other somewhat similar apps (Nodeworks, Nodebox, Quartz Composer to name a few), and though each PixelConduit and these others each have plus and minuses, Pixel Conduit is certainly worth having in my arsenal and compliments all the other similar (modular) apps quite nicely.
* also can be downloaded from the PixelConduit website

Every app by Roberto Attanasio that I've downloaded is GOLD (imo), and they're all free. That said, Sine Waves Orchestra is easily my favourite. My recommendation - download them ALL and try them.
ESPECIALLY these four:
Sine Waves Orchestra - info - http://www.robertoattanasio.com/sine-waves-orchestra
Digital Machine - info - http://www.robertoattanasio.com/digital-machine
Sound Bubbles - info - http://www.robertoattanasio.com/sound-bubbles
Spiker - info - http://www.robertoattanasio.com/spiker
These are great too, but more utility-based:
Scale Finder - info - http://www.robertoattanasio.com/scale-finder
Common Keys Finder - info - http://www.robertoattanasio.com/common-keys-finder
Effectogram - a lovely (albeit minimal) modular sound-design environment. Does have a demo version - available here:
http://www.gutgroove.com/effectogram-so ... essor.html
Tiltoria - only available in the app store, but a super sweet, customizable, audio triggered or not visualizer.
FREE - info - http://www.tiltoria.com
info - http://www.tiltoria.com
NodeBeat - $1.99 - a modular, generative, sound and MIDI control app - totally worth it in my opinion.
http://nodebeat.com
Some disappointments and why:
EasyMIDI (the non-free version) - OK, it LOOKS great, AND offers LOTS of neat features, does what its designed to do REALLY WELL, so it may be GREAT for you, BUT it stops working (sending MIDI) when the app is out of focus, and there's NO option to change this behaviour (yet). So, it's not of much use to me.

Track Master - Pretty much exactly what I said about EasyMIDI, no demo, but hey, this one's free.

I may share more app experiences later if it appears this thread is of any interest to anyone.
