Or, some stuff I did this year cause I wanted a Burberry bass, but things got kinda out of hand.

First I cut up a Burberry shirt, glued it to some bass parts and lacquered it. That wasn't very good at all. Sold it to a friend who wanted to take up bass.

Second one was better, but the edges were terrible. I did use it live twice, then sold it.

Then I tried a different brand and . Still not right, though. Traded it for a future victim.

Fourth attempt and we're finally getting close enough for government work. I've threatened to make a sample set of this bass.

Then I did something for one of my singers. Less over the top.

But what I really wanted was a Burberry bass. So, with what was left of the jacket I cut up for the second one, I did this. Not a pro-quality finish but I'm finally content.

Then for no good reason other than inertia, I did this with what I got in trade for the Armani.

I will sum it up by quoting somebody on a hip-hop forum: "like guitars Lil Wayne would pretend to play".

Those are pretty cool! Personally I love guitars that have been build around a great piece of wood and not painted, but I do like a good looking guitar.

More important is that it sounds good, but appearance makes me like a guitar more.

I recognize a Peavey as one of the victims.

Yup, good catch - that's a Peavey Milestone III. Didn't make my tone sound anything like Miles Davis (unsurprisingly), but the plaid on those slender horns looked very nice. There are also a couple of Ibanezes, two Vintages, and two collections of fairly random parts. No great pieces of wood, not that I'd want to glue shirts and jackets and scarves to great wood anyway, basically whatever I happened to be able to score for cheap. They're tacky attention-grabbing devices, but they're fun to do and even more fun to take on stage.

And bonus pics - my fashion accessories posing with matching fashion accessories belonging to one of my singers.
