HI to all on the forums,

I've been away these last months from KVR, as I was really busy with two projects. One has been completed and one has is disclosed just toady. My upcoming game for iPad, Puzzle Crowns.

PUZZLE CROWNS revamps puzzle mechanics inside a fantasy theme, using arcade elements like power ups, time limit and bonus levels. Puzzle Crown is a single player game which features campaigns, which will reveal pieces by pieces the Puzzle Crowns' lands secrets.

I've been producing the tracks both on my PC than sometimes starting the core structure in Garageband on my iPad, then the track was completed and mixed in Live. I scored parts of the music but got some help using also some loops to add some details in strings or percussion movements.

I made all sound effects also in live, combining and texturing some of my own samples or using other commercial libraries.

The trailer features Melaniejane, an UK woman vocal artist, she gives a warm whimsical touch in the trailer. She will give her voice to one of the game character in the final game.

The game features an epic tone, I hope you'll appreciate it. I really enjoy to dive in such a mood. It made a long time, I wanted to explore this kind of music. The trailer for the Kickstarter was made all in After Effects for the visual parts. Regarding the audio, I used Live, Adobe Audition, Premiere to mix, clip and crop video rushes from the interview footages.

The only part in the audio I feel I could have go further, but time and money was a limiter is the direct sound capture of my interview. We shoot the interview with a Digital Camera an EOS, and I captured at the same time my voice with the iRigMic through my iPad. I know we could have done better, but at the end the trailer has a nice look&feel and this indie touch, not over produced as if I tried to make it gorgeous and really enjoyable.

Don't hesitate to share the news about the project. Every backers will be appreciated.

Thank you very much for your attention.
Cheers,
Xavier / Setfan
