I have to admit that I suck at mixing and mastering my stuff. I think, I more or less know the basic theory of production (what's a compressor and what it does, how to equalize things and all that), but for some reason I fail to apply it so that to sound as good as I want to. I guess, watching some guy making a "release-grade" dance track from start to finish would be of great help to me.
What I'm looking for is a video course relating to trance or similar styles, focused on software-based production, with all steps of mixing and mastering process shown and explained in detail. Free or paid, it doesn't matter as long as it is really comprehensive and useful. It shall be in English (or in Russian, if any).
Cheers!

Here's a free tutorial from Mr. Bill on New York Compression/Parallel Compression.
it's a good technique for getting fatter chunkier subs, and brighter crunchier hi ends.. of course don't go overkill with it or it will start clipping or sound like crap.

I saw him play some gigs in australia.. he seems to be pretty respected in the electronic music scene over there. I definitely like his style of tutorials, and he really knows his way around ableton. If you like his tutorials i also recommend checking out tutorials from Tom Cosm (from new zealand)

I haven't but plan to pick up the mixing one. Check out the forums, there's people on there who've done reviews etc.
