Good news everyone!
Many of you have been asking for it, so there it is: our libraries can be used without the need of an iLok usb key.
How does it work?
The protection is still provided by iLok, but you can register the license to your computer instead of the iLok usb key. Of course you will still be able to use the iLok key as it is very convenient, but at least now you have a choice. One of the great features of that new system is that you can move the license around, it can be moved from a computer to another, then to an iLok key, and it is as easy as a simple drag and drop thanks to the iLok license manager.
Can i have it?
All new purchases (and the ones made since december 5th) can benefit from this new system, all you need to do is register normally and follow the usual process. If you purchased it before december 5th and want to use the new system, just wait a little bit as we are trying to find the best way to move your old licenses to this new system andit might require some more complex manipulations from you and from us.
What requirements?
You will need to download the latest version of UVI Workstation (2.1.9) and also use the latest version of the iLok license manager. Also this new system forced us to leave osX 10.5 behind. If you use 10.5, our libraries still work, but they require an older version of UVI Workstation and the older UFS files, plus the iLok key is mandatory. If you are in this situation, just contact us and we will help you out.
