Hi, guys,
I installed a new windows version, windows 7 professional, I downloaded Vanguard 1.8 but the setup cant finish the installation or the installation without create the folder and doesnt copy the files.
I downloaded other copies and I tried but its happening all the time.
I did run "with administration privileges" and again with windows xp compatibility mode, but its not working.
My vanguard is original, not cracked.
Refx support wants me to schedule a remote desktop session some day but maybe you can help me to avoid this, since I've a full time job.
Any tips, please?
Cheers,
Anthony.

The thing about folder permissions - I remember I had to do that with Omnisphere on Win 7.
'You may want to exaamine the ACL for your desktop folder. Browse to your desktop folder and right click for properties. Select permisions and advanced. Proceed to assign youself ownership and grant full permisions.
You can enable and log on to the administrator account and see if the issue occurs when installing programs."
That worked like a charm.

It's funny because Omnisphere was the ONLY piece of software that did this. Install would not finish but after doing some web research, I right clicked the folder - and I remember it was just 1 folder went to Permissions, gave myself permission, and it went right on and did it's thing.
I don't know. Kontakt didn't do it.
Just whatever you do on Win 7, right click it and if there's a line that says Run As Admonistrator, click it.

I tried everything, not successfully.
But...
I was downloading an .exe file today and it was disappearing all the time after the download conclusion, so I couldn't install it. I deactivated the anti-virus and I downloaded it again, and installed the program.
So I thought... I think I will try the same way with vanguard, that has an .exe installer...
So... It worked!!!
I'm using Avast anti-virus. It deletes stuff without show me a message and skips the installers.
Well, my Vanguard is running again. I bought in 2012 christmas.
osiris, thanks for the support.
