Hi!
At the moment, my sample library mostly consists of drum samples recorded from old drum machines. While really digging these kind of samples, I often feel quite restricted to a certain style using these. Thats why I checked which samples I could buy to expand my sound spectrum. To me, Native Instruments Battery looks really cool, I really like the demo tracks on their website. I also like the way how they present the samples in different kits covering different genres.
The problem is: I use Ableton Live, so I have access to Drum Racks. Buying Battery seems a bit redundant as I can do everything Battery can do using tools I already have – the only difference is the sample library.
As its not possible to purchase only the Battery samples, can you recommend something similar?
I have already checked sites like loopmasters, but I am always unsure trying to buy sample packs as I have made the experience that the demos don't judge the whole pack in most cases.
Battery like sample library?

there are some other nice libraries out there (goldbaby, driven machine drums), although I'm wondering if it might still be worth it to you to get Battery. it's pretty reasonably priced (especially if you find an old version used and upgrade), and it might cost just as much to buy a whole bunch of other libraries.

If you are after different drum samples, then these come highly recommended.

The drums samples are not from drum machines, but actual synths. There are a ton of demos on the site, I ain't used them yet, but then again, I ain't wrote much in awhile. I bought them at full price, but their currently 50% off at only £27.48. You really can't go wrong at the price mate.

of course the problem with battery is that you still end up buying 3rd party kits. I really like this stuff and it's dirt cheap for some reason:
