Hey guys
So im pretty poo rat music theory, ive been into piano house a lot lately and love this new MK track.
What i wanted to know is the theory behind the chord pattern so i can learn a bit more and create something similar myself!
I cant play piano so complex chord rifs like this always sound beyond my capability so thought id ask here for some info from those in the know!
Appreciate any insight that can help me make something similar!

I saw your post, since no one is answering, let me help you out
The song is in the key of D major
The chords
Emin9 (Right hand: G B D Gb Left hand: E)
Bmin9 (Right hand: A Db D Gb Left hand: B)
Gmaj7(Right hand: G B D Gb Left hand: G)
Amaj (Right hand: A Db E A Left hand: A)
II VI IV V (2 6 4 5)
So it is just minor 9ths, a major 7 and a major.
We use those kind of chords quite a lot in our sounds

Hope this helped

All those flats should be sharps: F# not Gb, C# not Db.Styles wrote:The song is in the key of D major

I don't think those chords are right... I would have said
Em9, A6/B, Gmaj7, A
