Ended up seeing them live last night at The El Rey Theatre in LA, more as a favor as designated driver for my burner friend. I knew a few songs going in and thought they were OK going in. But I was impressed with them and they had a great band they brought on for most of the last half of the show plus lots of guest vocalists, though the only one I had heard of was Richard the lead singer of Filter who came on and played and sang on the last song they did.

Don't know that I'm going to go out and buy all their music but it was a cool show in a fairly intimate venue (one I'd actually played 10+ years ago :o) and they had a great live presence (for a bunch of knobtweakers). :P :hihi: :tu:

they had male strippers?
youre as bad as wooly, at least you take your own boobs though.

as much as i love a night out with the "edm" (slight vomit) its not something i personally enjoy when im at home, maybe as im getting ready to go out, although having said that, some acts are a bit more home friendly to my ears on record, such as underworld or leftfield for example. and i bet theyd get lumped in with "edm" (actual pool of vomit this time) crowd these days.

what do i know though, im apparently "an aging stoner rock musician".

ahh but Crystal Method are classic as is Prodigy. For me it would be a novelty :D you know? I got my start with them. That being said I'd probably be making fun of all the young ravers at the show the whole time. sigh.

I still have the Leftfield album with "Swords" on vinyl and Underworld's album that they had the song that was on Trainspotting was the first record I ever bought.
