I can only think of one that I know for sure is true stereo
Softube Tsar-1
There must be others. 2cAudio's reverbs?

I would imagine that most algorithmic reverbs released the last 5-10 years are true stereo

Aether and Breeze each have a true stereo modes. Pretty sure B2 does as well.Aiynzahev wrote: There must be others. 2cAudio's reverbs?

Yes but not all. Some of them are re-creations like yours. Is LX480 true stereo?Warp69 wrote:I would imagine that most algorithmic reverbs released the last 5-10 years are true stereo
Also any know if the new Lexicon PCM stuff true stereo?
EDIT - Valhalla is yes.

This thread has the list of Reverbs and how they process the sound. Believe it or not, Ambience free is True Stereo.

And recreations are somehow related to "True Stereo"? How?Aiynzahev wrote:Yes but not all. Some of them are re-creations like yours. Is LX480 true stereo?

EDIT - Valhalla is yes.
I believe you have tested both LX480 and PCM extensively - both are "True Stereo"................ The list would be way shorter if we mentioned 'Non-True Stereo" reverbs.
Something related - Is "True Stereo" a measurement of sound quality? If so, how can some "True Stereo" reverbs have more envelopment/spaciousness than others? The Lexicon 480L (and most reverbs from Lexicon) is excellent at spaciousness. The TC Electronic VSS3 is not "True Stereo" and yet have better envelopment/spaciousness than most plugins that are "True Stereo".....

Well if older reverbs were not true stereo then re-creations wouldn't be either. That's an *if* simply because I don't know, that is why I am asking the question.Warp69 wrote:And recreations are somehow related to "True Stereo"? How?Aiynzahev wrote:Yes but not all. As to your related question I don't think so. Nor do I think it's important overall. But having true stereo as an option could provide for different mixing techniques I imagine. Placing tracks in the stereo field and then sending to the reverb unit if the unit is TS might give a different result than if the unit was summing to mono first. I haven't done much experimentation with it. It just crossed my mind today.
It might be a good test actually and an easy one to do. Take a TS reverb and export a mix with it in TS mode and with it with a mono-summer plug-in before the reverb so all the sends get summed.
I've also read of engineers panning the reverbs themselves. I need to try that out!

Thanks. I saw that list a long time ago actually. I was asking this same question in fact. It's just come to my mind again recently.satYatunes wrote:You should visit this thread at Reaper forum:

All of our verbs are capable of True stereo and are by default--but they don't have to be.
We have extensive control over this behavior via Cross and Width controls in our products. Aether and B2 are also able to do Mid-Side manipulations. B2 is capable or a large list of possible stereo behaviors which generally encompass pretty much all possible stereo configurations.
True stereo is kinda "101" stuff in 2014.
