I recently tried Ambience in Cubase SX2, and i believe i was hit by the known bug as mentioned in:http://www.kvr-vst.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 842#184842 (http://www.kvr-vst.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=184842#184842)
I had already added Ambience, and just touched a fader (i think it was the volume for an instrument that sends to the ambience fx-channel), and it went crazy. There was a nasty feedback-ish sound, and i threw off my headphones as fast as i could. The entire program crashed, and I restarted the machine. Then i found out that my SB Live soundcards outputs were blown. The output for the back speakers was completely dead. The front speaker output sounded like a cheap walkie-talkie with very volatile sound (the sound came and went, changed EQ automatically, etc). So I bought a new M-Audio Audiophile 2496 the same day. Causeously testing with Ambience gave the same result. Hard feedback and program crash. Luckily the card survived unharmed (as far as i can tell).
So I am just wondering, have you found the bug yet, or have some indication of what it might be? Did anyone else experience the bug?
Please note: I'm actually somewhat happy that the sb live was fried, so that i could get a new card, which i'd been thinking about for a long time :^)
