Need Help With Guitar To MIDI And Mod Wheel Foot Controller

Hi, I'm planning to get the Fishman TriplePlay to convert guitar to MIDI. If anyone has it can you please answer these questions:

1). Does it work on a 7 String and do you know if they plan to bring out a 7 string version?

2). What MIDI parameters does it control besides the actual note? For example, if you string bend will it control the pitch bend wheel of a VST, or the mod wheel etc...

3). Is there anything better out there at the moment?

Also does anyone know of any mod wheel controller I can use in the same way you would use a wah pedal? Thanks.
