Hi
Just ordered a new iPad mini with retina display which should arrive monday.
I have an iPhone 4 with some music apps but can't go too mad with it as its only a 4. I would like to use iPad to record some stuff from iPhone and use a portable creative tool.
I would also like to try to integrate it into my DAW. I am on live 8 on iMac with a focusrite Sapphire pro 14 interface. Apps I would like to try are Nave, wave shaper, Korg iMS20 so looking for midi integration into iMac. It would also be nice to try some touch screen control apps for live as long as they don't need "Max for live". Is this possible?
My midi keyboard is and old one with midi cables not USB so how would I get midi from Ableton to pad from iMac?
Getting iPad, what do I need?

Thanks for replied Phil999 and gamecat666.
Just been looking into midi over wifi and got Animoog on my iPhone working with ableton. Very happy now.
I will see how wifi goes and maybe look into getting an iconnect, thanks for suggesting it.
I will definitely download touch OSC as soon as I get the iPad. Touchable looks great but may be too complicated for what I need for now.
I can't wait now. Cheers
